CBD Fireworks for your Mouth this 4th of July

By June 27, 2019 No Comments

What are CBD fireworks for your mouth? They’re flavor bombs and things that pop – things to create an exciting explosion in your mouth. These tasty treats are perfect for your 4th of July festivities and especially while the fireworks are lighting up the sky.

Ganache Sky Bursts

These CBD fireworks bites are bursts of popping candy and a punch of rich chocolate. The sour note from fresh raspberries adds extra spark. Make these fiery by adding ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper, or extra fiery by adding 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

For this recipe, we suggest the Canna Trading Co. Vanilla CBD Tincture. This recipe makes 12 bite size ganache treats.

2 ½ droppers Vanilla CBD Tincture

8 oz. dark or extra dark chocolate

¾ cup heavy cream

3 packages of strawberry or cherry popping candy

Red, white and blue stars for garnish

Fresh raspberries for garnish

Start by heating the heavy cream on the stove on low heat. When you see bubbles start to form on the sides of the pan, it is ready to be poured over the chocolate. It’s best to finely chop the chocolate or use chocolate chips.

Add the CBD tincture to the warm cream and whisk. CBD tincture and dairy fat blend well together.

Pour the cream and CBD tincture over the chocolate. Let it sit for 2 full minutes. Start folding the chocolate and cream from the center outward after 2 minutes. Continue folding until the chocolate is smooth.

In a mini silicon muffin mold, place ¼ teaspoon of the popping candy. Fill the mold 1/3 of the way with the ganache and add another ¼ teaspoon of popping candy. Add more ganache.

Refrigerate 2 hours. Garnish the tops with the red, white and blue stars to represent the 4th of July and a fresh raspberry. You could also alternate raspberries and blueberries to be even more representative of the holiday.

When your guests bite into these little bombs, there will be an explosion of popping candy flavor. It makes it more fun if you don’t tell anyone the popping candy is in there. Just label the display “Ganache Sky Bursts”. They’ll get it afterwards.

Fireworks Truffles

Why are these CBD fireworks treats named what they are? They are bright and festive on the outside and explode like fireworks in your mouth.  One of the good things about these truffles is that you can add a filling while you’re forming them if you wish, so you could add an extra explosion of popping candy on the inside.

For this recipe, we suggest using our Canna Trading Co. Anxiety Calming Tincture.

5 packages of strawberry or another red popping candy

5 packages of blue raspberry popping candy

2 droppers of Canna Trading Co. Anxiety Calming Tincture

1 ½ Tablespoons coconut oil

8 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup heavy cream

8 oz. dark or extra dark chocolate

1 tablespoon brewed and cooled espresso

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place the semisweet chocolate chips into a bowl. Place the dark or extra dark chocolate into a separate bowl. Empty the packets of popping candy into another bowl and stir them together.

Start to heat the heavy cream on low on the stove. When you see bubbles forming on the side, it’s ready to use.

In the bowl of semisweet chocolate, add ½ cup of heavy cream and let it sit for 2 full minutes.

Mix the vanilla, coconut oil, espresso and CBD tincture into the remaining ¼ cup of heavy cream. Pour this over the dark or extra dark chocolate. Let this sit for 2 minutes.

Once the cream has sat long enough over the chocolate, start to fold each bowl separately from the center outward.

Allow the semisweet chocolate to refrigerate for 2 hours to firm up. Use a melon baller to scoop out small balls. Roll them carefully in your hands (wear gloves with nonstick cooking spray on them to keep your hands clean). Then dip them into the CBD-infused ganache. Place them onto a cooling rack. Give them a few minutes to firm up just a little bit and roll each one in the popping candy.

*Get creative and use different colored melting chocolates for the exterior of your fireworks truffles. You can also mold them into stars, flags and other patriotic shapes using silicone molds.

4th of July Popcorn Bottle Rockets

Popcorn is a fun treat on its own, but this CBD fireworks popcorn recipe will have you making it every year. Why do we call it bottle rockets? Because you can make a fun container to hold the popcorn using construction paper or a piping bag that can resemble a bottle rocket. It’s also a fun “popping” snack that is perfect to munch on during the bottle rocket segment of your local fireworks show. This is one of our favorite CBD fireworks recipes because the possibilities are endless. You can add almost anything you want to into the mix.

8 cups of buttered or kettle popcorn

2 cups melted white chocolate

1 tablespoon coconut oil

2 droppers of Canna Trading Co. Organic Olive Oil Tincture

4 packages of red and blue popping candy.

1 cup mini dark chocolate chips

½ cup chopped cashews

1 cup smashed freeze dried raspberries

Place your popped popcorn, chocolate chips, cashews and freeze dried raspberries in a bowl. Lightly toss them together.

Melt the white chocolate over a double boiler and add in the coconut oil and CBD tincture.

Drizzle the white chocolate over the popcorn mixture while tossing it. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle in 3 of the packages of popping candy.

Make 16 small bottle rocket packages using empty paper towel tubes, empty toilet paper tubes or make a cute container from a piping bag or construction paper. Add a little bit of your CBD fireworks popcorn mixture into each “bottle rocket” container.

Feel free to decorate your containers to make them even more festive.
