A Great 3 Course Limited Ingredient CBD Meal from Start to Finish
You may not have time to make a 3 course meal during the week, but when you have extra time on weekends, this meal is ideal. It really is simple, so it could be made during the week too. The appetizer can easily be a pre-meal snack. We’ve chosen ingredients that have better availability than others when demand is increased and budgets might be tighter.
Our meal is designed for a family of 4. It’s easy to adjust quantities for your family’s size.
Crackers with Green Onion and CBD Cream Cheese Spread
This tasty appetizer can be made up in just a few minutes. It’s also a great after school snack or movie munchie. For this recipe, we suggest using either our Alchemy Tincture or our Organic Olive Oil Tincture. Our Alchemy tincture has a warm, peppery flavor. Our Organic Olive Oil Tincture allows you to enjoy the smooth flavor of olive oil in combination with our broad spectrum hemp CBD Extract.
4 oz. softened cream cheese
A pinch of sea salt
3 or 4 grinds of fresh black pepper or peppercorn medley
1 dropper of either Alchemy or Organic Olive Oil tincture
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 green onion snipped thin
4 – 6 slices of salami or pepperoni
For this recipe, all you need to do is cut the salami or pepperoni into small pieces and crisp them in a pan. Combine the remaining ingredients, except the crackers, in a bowl and mix until smooth. Spread some of the cream cheese on top of each crackers and sprinkle some of the crisped meat on top.
The On-Hand CBD Skillet Meal
How about a simple skillet meal made from what you have on hand? We’re suggesting a few ingredients, but in this skillet meal, you’re free to substitute whatever you’ve got available. We are suggesting our Organic Olive Oil Tincture for this recipe.
1 pound meat or your preferred protein substitute (anything works in this recipe
4 medium potatoes
1 green bell pepper
½ head cabbage
1 teaspoon sea salt
6 – 8 grinds fresh black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 dropper Organic Olive Oil Tincture
½ cup water
Start by washing and dicing your potatoes. Add them to a skillet with ½ cup water. Cover them to help them cook faster. Once the potatoes are ½ cooked, add your cabbage and protein. If you are using something like chicken breast, steak or pork chops we suggest cutting them into chunks first.
Then add in your seasonings and olive oil. Cover it again. Cook 5 minutes and add the butter, bell peppers and onions. Let the potatoes get a little crust on them for additional flavor. If your potatoes absorb most of the fat that you’ve put in the pan and it gets dry, add just a little more olive oil, water or whatever stock or broth you have available.
Transfer the skillet meal to a family style serving dish and drizzle the organic olive oil tincture over it. If you have parmesan cheese and fresh parsley, feel free to garnish the top of the dish for more flavor and visual appeal.
Cornbread with Peaches and Cream Dessert
If you keep cornbread mix on-hand, now is the time to put it to use. Peaches are in season, but frozen are fine too. You can also substitute any fruit that you have on hand if you don’t have or can’t find peaches. If you can’t find heavy cream – go ahead with store bought shortcuts and just add to them.
2 packages cornbread mix
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 2/3 cups milk or your typical substitution
2 tablespoons of sour cream or Greek yogurt
4 cups peaches (fresh, frozen, canned or whatever fruit you have on hand)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon sugar or sugar substitute (brown, white, powdered, any sugar will work)
1 ½ cups heavy cream or prepared whipped cream
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 dropper Canna Trading Co. Vanilla Tincture
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
Start by whisking your eggs and milk. Add in the cornbread mix and cinnamon. Fold until combined.
Place your fruit, flour, sugar and cubed butter into a bowl and toss.
Grease a 9×13” baking dish. Pour ½ of the cornbread into the pan and spread it to reach all of the corners. Pour the fruit over the top and the remaining cornbread batter mix.
Bake 40 – 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Use a toothpick to check the doneness at 35 minutes. When a toothpick comes out clean, it is done and is ready to start cooling.
Now, onto the whipped topping. While the cornbread “cobbler” is baking, put a glass or metal bowl into the freezer to chill. Once your dessert comes out of the oven, remove the bowl from the freezer. Add your heavy cream, vanilla, vanilla tincture, powdered sugar and whipping cream (or whipped topping). Whip until there are stiff peaks.
Serve in individual portions with a big dollop or spoonful of the whipped topping. Garnish with a dash of cinnamon.
